A fundraising campaign is under way for Dell’Arte International’s home — the historic 1910 Odd Fellows Hall — which has suffered damage during the recent storms.
According to a Dell’Arte press release, the Odd Fellows Hall in Blue Lake has water damage from gutter and roofing failures. Areas of the building most affected include the light and sound booth in the Carlo Theater, the outer walls of the Rooney Amphitheater, the school’s library and Awok Gene Brundin Archive, and the faculty back office.
“We are launching this fundraising campaign to restore the Odd Fellows Hall out of necessity,” said Alyssa Hughlett, executive director of Dell’Arte International. “The building is the cornerstone of our community and has been an essential part of our company’s work for decades. We are committed to restoring this iconic landmark, and we invite everyone who cares about history, architecture and theater to support this campaign.”
Dell’Arte’s goal is to raise $15,000 by June 1 to cover the cost of repairs not covered by insurance, Hughlett said. Donations can be made online at https://dellarte.com/storm-damage-fundraiser/ or by check mailed to Dell’Arte International, P.O. Box 816, Blue Lake, CA 95525.
“We are confident that our community will come together to support this campaign,” said Hughlett.
