Congratulations to the companies and nonprofits that made it onto this year’s 100 Best Green Workplaces in Oregon list.
The 100 Best Green Workplaces list uses results from two surveys that went to companies and nonprofits last year: the 2022 100 Best Nonprofits to Work For in Oregon and the 2023 Best Companies to Work For in Oregon.
On each of those surveys, employees were asked to rate their satisfaction with — and the importance they attach to — 11 statements related to their workplace’s practices. These include the organization’s green mission and goals, but also practices like recycling and waste reduction, as well as support for public transportation. Employers were also asked about their organization’s policies and practices, as well as how they measure compliance — and what day-to-day practices they engage in, such as water conservation and support for sustainable vendors.
