The company received high praise from homeowners for their punctual and efficient installers who completed the installation within a day. Homeowners were also satisfied with the thorough cleanup done after installation. Reviewers described positive experiences with knowledgeable and friendly employees. The LeafFilter system was highly regarded for its durability and consistent performance.
However, some customers had negative feedback regarding the pricing, which was not consistent and sometimes required haggling for a fair price. Some customers also reported receiving unwanted sales calls after requesting a free estimate online. Moreover, homeowners were unhappy with the pre-installation cleaning, which was not comprehensive enough. LeafFilter customers also reported being charged for service visits that should have been covered by the “no-clog” warranty clause.

“If [you’re] looking to replace the gutters on your home, beware of Leaf Filter Company: We had a similar experience. The first quote from the salesman was $10,700 when we hesitated. The salesman kept finding different discounts to apply, and after playing around with numbers and wasting about 1 hour of our time, his final offer was $3,471. [That’s] a difference of over $6,000 if we signed right then and there. We probably would have gone with them if the salesman didn’t play the pricing game. Some customers praised Gutter Helmet for the quality of its product, claiming to have a seamless experience with its gutter covers for upwards of two decades in some cases. However, some had a very different experience, complaining that the product resulted in issues like rusting, ice dams and more. What’s more, some said gutter cleaning was still required despite the product guarantee:

“We purchased Gutter Helmet for a patio home which has less roof square footage than a regular home. We paid over $4,000 for it and have had nothing but problems. The most recent is extremely large and thick icicles everywhere that the Gutter Helmet is. No other patio home in our community has icicles hanging from the gutters. I called Gutter Helmet and the person that answered the phone was rude! I would never recommend this product to anyone. Don’t waste your money!
