The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is working to acquire Eau Claire Fitness and convert it to the Eau Claire South YMCA.
Eau Claire South YMCA, slated to open Jan. 1, will provide a wide range of health and wellness, youth development and outreach programs while becoming the third full-service facility for the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley.
With the addition of Eau Claire South YMCA, the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley will encompass Eau Claire Downtown YMCA and Chippewa Falls YMCA as full-service branches, the John & Fay Menard YMCA Tennis Center and L.E. Phillips YMCA Sports Center as program branches, and Camp Manitou as an overnight camp.

Eau Claire South YMCA will continue to provide a full array of fitness equipment along with programming that includes free group exercise classes, water fitness, pickleball and more.
YMCA of the Chippewa Valley memberships include competitive monthly fees with no long-term contracts, discounts on youth programming such as camp, swim lessons and before or after school care, free group exercise classes and free Child Watch for young children on family memberships. Members also have access to all YMCA of the Chippewa Valley locations, all YMCAs across Wisconsin and most Y locations across the country, at no added cost, as part of a national reciprocity agreement. The YMCA also offers opportunities for volunteerism, family fun events and more.
Over the last two years, nearly $600,000 of maintenance reserve funding has been used to improve YMCA of the Chippewa Valley facilities with parking lot repairs, roof repair, new lights and fixtures.

It is a hub of family and community gathering; it’s a place to relax and reconnect with family and friends, as well as a place to be active and healthy in spirit, mind and body.”
The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is one of the largest human services organizations in the Chippewa Valley, with over 18,000 members.
